Another School Year...

Well, the 2011-2012 school year has started. I am excited to start another year of teaching and coaching. I can't believe I am going into my 8th year. The first week back at school went as usual. It was stressful, confusing, repetitive, and long! There has been many changes at my school and look forward to bonding with my new co-workers. I am already counting the day till Thanksgiving Break!

bye bye red!

Well, I finally said good-bye to the red walls in our living room. Once again, I wanted to try something new and felt the red needed to go. So, I decided on a lighter color and man it has brighten up the room. Now, I am thinking I need to change some of the decor in the living room but not sure what to do. Here are some of the before and after pictures.

Creative Sister

Me and My Sister, Nicole

I have to say... I have the most creative sister in the world. She has such vision when it comes to decorating, re-doing furniture, and creating different pieces that can be displayed in your house. She can look at a piece of furniture that someone has thrown away and tell it has the potential to be a beautiful piece for the house. She takes it and transforms it. It is a sight to see. I often have a hard time seeing the possible potential of some of these pieces. She will describe everything see wants to do and explains how she is going to do it. I think to myself, not sure if that is going to work. I truly believe my sister has a place in the world of decorating and creating pieces for people's homes. I have posted just a few pictures of her fabulous work.

BUY OUR HOUSE!!!

         Cuellar Home
Five years ago, I bought my first house and was overwhelmed with joy and excitement. Buying your first home is a big step in life. The house was built in 1950's, a cottage style with hardwood floors throughout and 3 bedrooms with 2 baths. Through these five years, my parents, sister, Eli, and myself have made many updates. We added some nice touches to the house. In May (2011), Eli and I put our house on the market in hopes that a family will purchase our house to make it their home. I know that if it is meant to be, it will happen. We are continuing to look around and see what is out there. Eli and I are interested in a few different areas of Fort Worth. When the time comes, it will be bitter sweet to say good-bye to our first home but looking forward to new memories in our new home!

Louie the dog

Luis "Louie" Salazar Cuellar is our Australian Shepherd/ Hound dog. He is not even a year old and is seventy pounds and growing. He is handsome but a hand full. I am glad we adopted him in Feb (2011) from the Humane Society in Fort Worth. I didn't think Eli and I would get a dog until years down the road or after having a kid. Plans can change. I know a dog is an animal but Louie (in my eyes) has prepped us for the responsibilities of a child. Let me explain: feeding, bathing, potty training, dropping/picking up at doggy day camp, and etc..I know it may sound silly but it is true. Now, I can see how some people consider their pets their children. Anywho, Louie has been a great addition to our Cuellar Family and looking forward to many more years with this fool!

Welcome to Cuellar Corner!

So, today is my first time to ever blog. I decided to try new things in my life and have started with creating a blog about my life with my husband and our crazy life. I am not one for trying new things or adventuring out of my comfort zone. Well, I am emerging from my comfort zone. Many of my friends follow blogs and have blog as well. I thought to myself... I can do a blog! Here I am with my first blog, The Cuellar Corner.
